Stefan and Damon have a lot to accomplish in the next episode of "The Vampire Diaries" season 7. Titled "Mommie Dearest," the Salvatore brothers will take care of what Damon said could be the "best Thanksgiving ever," one that will be graced by their mother Lily.
Here, Stefan will convince her to help them kill Julian. But there's a catch. In the promo for this week's installment, Lily reveals to Stefan that a spell binds her and Julian so when he dies, so will she. But it doesn't look like the Salvatore brothers mind making her a collateral damage.
The promo for the upcoming "The Vampire Diaries" season 7 episode shows that the duo pushes through with killing Julian. Unless Damon and Stefan do something to break the curse, Lily could be biting the dust soon. She is seen waning as Damon pierces a knife through Julian's chest.
It appears that in this episode, Damon and Stefan will learn a dark secret that their mother has been hiding for over 160 years. As the synopsis teases, the revelation has Stefan and Damon "questioning everything they've ever known about their family."
It is still unclear if discovering the life-changing secret pushed them, especially Damon, to kill Julian and strike Lily where it hurts most. But until "The Vampire Diaries" season 7 episode 7 airs, it is unknown what becomes of Lily and his man-crush.
Even Enzo is after Julian. He will challenge him to a duel in a bid to show Lily where his loyalties lie and what he is capable of. Clearly, he doesn't get to be the one that gets the nasty work done.
This week in "The Vampire Diaries" season 7, there will be more secrets revealed. Valerie will break the news to Caroline about her carrying the twins Jo had before her death. This revelation finally makes sense of the flash-forward scene where she does not end up with Stefan.
Meanwhile, Matt will also come across a "deepening mystery" that involves all of Mystic Falls.
