Following the numerous release delays of the highly anticipated open-world action adventure videogame, "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild," fans of the franchise now have renewed hope since Nintendo announced that they would finally be releasing the game next year. The company, however, neglected to mention the exact date for the released of the game, which now leaves fans with the task of trying to figure out that bit of information for themselves.
Fortunately, a new clue has been uncovered in the form of the game's accompanying Amiibo action figure and its reported release date. During the previously held gaming events — which includes this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo and the recent Gamescom event — Nintendo was in full attendance and showcased some new things about the upcoming game.
However, during both events, the company had apparently also neglected to mention the exact date of the game's release and only mentioned that it would be coming out next year.
Now, a new report has revealed the release date of the game's accompanying Amiibo action figures, which of course means that the game will likely also be released during the same time. The date was revealed on the Nintendo of Europe's official Amiibo website which lists the figures with a release date of March 4, 2017.
The majority of Nintendo's games that do have accompanying Amiibo figures are usually released right after or during the launch of the game itself.
For those who are unfamiliar with Amiibos, the actual figures are used to get additional bonus content for games, which might include new maps, in-game items, new characters, and other bonuses.
There are currently three Amiibos for the "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" that have been spotted by users on the website via randomly generated Amiibo selections at the bottom of the page. The Amiibos are different figures of the game's main protagonist, Link as an archer, a rider, and a Guardian.
