This week's episode of "The Good Wife" season 7 will see Alicia in two different kinds of battles – one in court and one in the kitchen. Titled "Cooked," the struggling lawyer is compelled to participate in a cooking show with her mother Veronica, who may or may have not been drinking.

Peter's campaign manager Willa Eastman believes that the presidential candidate's wife and her mother preparing a meal together in front of national TV will be good publicity for him but Willa will soon realize she may not have thought this through.

In the promo for "The Good Wife" season 7 episode, the campaign expert spat her coffee in shock upon learning that Alicia's mother is not sober all the time and that she herself won't tell the truth about her drinking splurge. The result, predictably, is nowhere near a lip-smacking treat but pure disaster.

Before Willa realizes her biggest mistake yet involving Peter's candidacy, Eli, on the other hand, will immediately see the scheme as a train wreck and will be all the more confused about Willa's beaming confidence about the idea. In the end though, it would seem that Eli, who was given a not so spacious office at work as seen in the promo, will encourage Alicia and Veronica to join.

While Alicia literally gets her hands dirty in the kitchen and in an apron, she will also scuffle in court, trying to crack a designer drug dealer who won't tell her who he really is. She takes on this very complicated and challenging case with Lucca.

There's no word about what Jason Crouse will be up to in the upcoming "The Good Wife" season 7 episode but it is being said that this case will endow the private investigator some more action.

"The Good Wife" season 7 episode 3 "Cooked" airs on Oct. 18 on CBS.
