'The Flash' season 1 spoilers: new love interest to complicate the superhero's romantic affairs

It looks like Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) will be very busy with ladies apart from his usual crime-fighting duties in the upcoming episode of "The Flash." In the new episode titled "Crazy for You," the fastest man alive will go on an "inadvertent" date with Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker).

Viewers who fervently wish for the two to couple up will certainly identify with "The Flash" executive producer Andrew Kreisberg, who admitted that the Barry-Caitlin moment is one of his favorite scenes of the entire year.

"Barry and Caitlin go on an inadvertent date, which is one of my favorite scenes of the whole year. They're hilarious together," Kreisberg said as quoted by ET Online.

However, it may not be the same for Linda (Malese Jow), Barry's newest romantic partner. Apart from the not-so-deliberate date of Barry and Caitlin, the former's declaration of love for Iris (Candice Patton) is not necessarily a great idea for Linda and even more for Caitlin and Eddie (Rick Cosnett). Even so, Patton revealed that her character started to look at Barry differently after he professed his feelings about her. Although Iris thinks of the Scarlet Speedster as a brother, Patton has admitted in an interview with MTV that chemistry between the two is still there. So from the looks of it, Barry is entangled in a complicated square and not just in a love triangle.

Going back to Linda, the pretty lady will be another "little romance" for Barry.

"She's a spark plug. She's a firecracker. She's a lot of fun. She's ballsy and she speaks her mind. She's cool. Barry can't kind of believe that somebody like her is interested in him. Barry suddenly having somebody like that in his life will cause the other women in his life to maybe see a little green," the executive producer revealed, as quoted by Entertainment Weekly.

While the romantic affairs in "The Flash" are already knotty, Pied Piper will add to the bedlam and bring destruction as well. In addition, the outcome of Cisco's (Carlos Valdes) decision to free Hartley in exchange for information about Firestorm will be told in the seemingly romance-laden episode, too. On the other hand, Eddie and Detective West (Jesse L. Martin) will get to the bottom of Barry's mother's murder in "Crazy for You." Detective Wells, however, will also take a stab at discovering what Dr. Wells is hiding.

The new episode of "The Flash" will air Feb. 3 on The CW.
