'The Flash' spoilers: The Scarlet Speedster balances crime-fighting and romance

 The CW

The Scarlet Speedster has to deal with another terrifying opponent in episode 13 of "The Flash" titled "The Nuclear Man." The episode is all about the fusion of Dr. Martin Stein and Ronnie Raymond brought about by a particle accelerator explosion, as well as about Barry's ways to thwart the latter's dark plans.

After Barry learns that Ronnie (now a bloodcurdling meta-human) attacked a revered physicist, the fastest man alive sets off to find him and the best way to do that is, apparently, to find Dr. Stein, who was on the move for a project called F.I.R.E.S.T.O.R.M. While that proves to be a good idea and the hero successfully hunts down the vicious version of Caitlin's fiancé, The Flash and the whole S.T.A.R. Labs squad are faced with the challenge of figuring out who between Dr. Stein and Ronnie they are talking to.

Although it all sounds muddled, this does not seem to substantiate the whole chaos "The Flash" is bringing in the forthcoming episode. Even with a revolting meta-human on the loose, The Flash's alter ego also tackles matters of the heart, which means handling superhero duties and boyfriend responsibilities at the same time. After Barry's steamy date with Linda and a budding romance shortly thereafter, The Flash has more to manage now. Lastly, episode 13 also sees Joe and Cisco teaming up to uncover the identity of Barry's mother's real killer and, in the process, put Henry Allen in the clear.

Delving deeper into the bigger troubles The Flash will come across as the series progresses, actor Grant Gustin has finally let the cat out of the bag by saying that Dr. Harrison Wells and Reverse Flash are only one detestable human being. What he did not reveal though is the "big twist" that will shock everyone at the end of the season. This twist is so unforeseen that predictions and rumors online just won't hit the mark.

In the meantime, viewers can look forward to the action and romance in "The Nuclear Man" to air on Feb. 10.
