Episode 16 of "The Flash" will mark the third showdown between the Fastest Man Alive and Captain Cold. Leonard Snart and Mick Rory are back with a new partner helping out in their plans to slow the scarlet speedster down.
In the last episode the duo were in, they were seen escaping from the police with the help of an unrevealed woman pre-enlisted by the villain. It turns out to be Lisa, Snart's younger sister. So in the new episode, Barry has three baddies going after him.
"The Flash" came back with a bang last week. There were so many revelations that most viewers that took everyone aback. It was in episode 15 "Out of Time" that Cisco knew who Dr. Harrison Wells really was and it also the same installment he was killed by his beloved friend in cold blood.
Fortunately, "Out of Time" was also the episode Barry managed to travel back in time in. As he ran in an unimaginable speed to prevent a tsunami concocted by the vindictive weather wizard Mark Marden from hitting Central City, he darted so fast that he broke into the space time continuum.
This opens up a lot of possibilities such as Cisco evading the terrible fate in store for him. Fans have not seen the last of the cool brainiac as he will stay alive for the rest of the season. How it will be done though remains to be seen.
"Certain events occur that prevent Cisco from following along this same trajectory," executive producer Andrew Kreisberg told TVLine. "So, watching how things play out, but in a totally different way."
As the season unfolds, fans will see how it all turns out for the Star Labs team now that Wells is now known as Eobard Thawne and on the way will further delve into the link between Eobard and Eddie other than being "distant relatives."
Kreisberg also told TV Line that episode 16 will show "how much of [what took place in Episode 15] still happens and how much of it might possibly change." This also includes the newfound and rather complicated romance between Barry and Iris.
Episode 16 of "The Flash" titled "Rogue Time" will air on Mar. 24.
