'The Blacklist' season 4 episode 4: Liz and Red chasing down Kirk

The continuation of "The Blacklist" season 4 in episode 4 "Gaia" will see Reddington (James Spader) and Liz (Megan Boone) continue their search for Kirk (Ulrich Thomsen) and Liz's baby.

The previous episode was packed with revelations as Red learned that Kirk needed baby Agnes to save himself from dying of a rare blood disease that runs in the family.

"He needs a biological descendant to save his life ... That's what you are: a collection of cells. This isn't about saving you from me. This is about saving you for him," Red revealed to Liz in last week's installment.

After learning this, memories of her mother writing a journal that revealed who Red and Kirk were to her came flooding back to Liz's mind, although it is unclear if these are actual memories of hers.

With his secret out in the open, Kirk will double his efforts to prevent Red and Liz from getting Agnes away from him in "The Blacklist" season 4 episode 4.

However, the promo for the episode suggests that his days as a free man are over. "We're getting close, Lizzie. It won't be long now," Red promised the worried mother.

They will make this happen by following an eco-terrorist who also works for Kirk. Red will send Liz with a task force to get to the individual who is expected to lead them to the man they have been looking for.

The synopsis for "The Blacklist" season 4, episode 4 also teases Tom (Ryan Eggold) "takes control of a situation." It is unclear as to what that will be.

The previous episode saw Lizzie's man work for McGrath (Tate Ellington) as Red's part of the bargain with his old friend Halbeck (Manny Perez), who recruits his help.

Tom was tasked to jump on a train of Class A infectious substances. The previous episode showed no more of him after he made that leap, though, so "The Blacklist" season 4 episode 4 will fill fans in on the events that transpired after that.

"The Blacklist" season 4 episode 4, "Gaia," airs on Thursday, Oct. 13 at 10 p.m. ET on NBC.
