In the last episode of "The Big Bang Theory" season 9, Sheldon and Amy's respective dates did not go too well. The latter's date is more interested in Sheldon apparently while the former's date arrived half an hour late, which was in no way acceptable to Sheldon.

The next episode of the hit CBS comedy, which is aptly titled "The Platonic Permutation," will see the former lovers hang out but only as friends and nothing more. Sheldon and Amy decide to spend Thanksgiving together at an aquarium provided it will only be friendly.

It remains to be seen what will happen during this hangout session but the International Business Times believes that in this "The Big Bang Theory" season 9 episode, it will be very difficult for the two to stay strictly platonic knowing that romance is still in the air.

While Sheldon and Amy attempt to go about a day as friends, the rest of the gang will be awfully busy with their own business. Howard will join (more like forced to come along) Bernadette, Raj and Emily in the soup kitchen as he plays Grinch while everyone enjoys the holiday cheer.

The upcoming "The Big Bang Theory" season 9 episode also has something for Leonard and Penny. The couple may have already tied the knot but it is only this time that Penny will realize that her husband knows more about her than she ever thought.

It seems that Leonard knows his lovely wife like the back of his hand. It will be exciting to see how this will play out during their upcoming Thanksgiving celebration, which will be the first one that they will share as a married couple.

"The Big Bang Theory" season 9 episode 9 "The Platonic Permutation" will air Nov. 19 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS. A future episode of the series marks the return of Bob Newhart, who will play the role of Sheldon's childhood hero Arthur Jeffries for the fourth time on the show.
