Terrence Crawford vs Timothy Bradley fight news: Crawford claims he was told to KO Bradley before

Terrence Crawford is best known as a pro boxer who is currently the undefeated World Boxing Organization (WBO) Light Welterweight champion. Aside from that, he is also a former WBO Lightweight champion.

Given those credentials, Crawford bares a little bit about his off-ring life, including his relationship with Timothy "Tim" and Monica Bradley. He narrates how the Bradley's took him in when he was still Tim's sparring partner. In all, it seems that Bradley and Crawford are pretty tight.

But the story seems to be entirely different when both step into the ring. In fact, Crawford bares that at some point, he was told to try and knock out Bradley.

That thought was of course not meant to create any friction but more of a motivation and to help toughen up Bradley, who is also known for his nickname "Desert Storm."

Currently competing in the same division, could both fighters cross paths some day? The idea is not far from happening especially in the world of boxing. And everyone knows that in the ring, friendships are set aside until of course the match is over.

Bradley is coming off a win over Jesse Vargas, something marred once again by controversy which the WBO has already decided on. Vargas is still appealing but to date, there is no word on whether a rematch would be granted.

As far as Crawford is concerned, promoter Bob Arum is hoping to get Crawford in a match with Mauricio Herrera possibly this October.

Herrera is coming off a fifth round total knock out (TKO) over Hank Lundy and looms as a potential opponent for Crawford in a match to be held in Ohama on Oct. 24 .

Crawford just made a jump to the junior welterweight division early this year and won the vacant WBO championship over Thomas Dulorme.

With limited opponents to choose from, Herrera could be the likely opponent for Crawford if both camps can agree on a deal.
