'Tekken 7' news: Bandai Namco to bring game in Florida for CEO 2015

Tekken 7 Bandai Namco

Gamers in North America who want to experience some fighter action with "Tekken 7" are faced with a dilemma since the title is only available to play in arcades. While Japan is peppered with those, players in other regions have to wait for game company Bandai Namco to actually hold an event so they can play the game.

The chance of this happening comes once in a blue moon, but the good news is that this very chance is closer than it ever was. "Tekken 7" director Katsuhiro Harada has announced via Twitter that game character Hwoarang and the rest of the gang will be the stars at the upcoming Community Effort Orlando 2015 event in Florida.

Gaming accessories manufacturer MadCatz will put up a booth during the event with the latest iteration of the wildly popular fighting game as the showpiece. The event is scheduled to take place in Wyndham Orlando Resort and fans have from June 26 to 28 to brawl and fight in the video game to their hearts' content.

Bandai Namco Games is still polishing "Tekken 7," which, at the moment, is limited to the arcade edition. The studio has not stopped upgrading and improving the game since its release back in February. From 20 fighters, the game's roster has now expanded to 27. The developer regularly releases trailers for the new characters gracing the arena.

The latest addition is Jack 7, whose name is indicative of its simultaneous evolvement with the game. The mechanoid is a staple character in the franchise, debuting in "Tekken 3" in his fresh Gun Jack form. Jack's new version, if the trailer is to go by, is the most fearsome to date. He may be slow (blame his intimidating behemoth size and his exploding boulders for biceps) but this is compensated with his bone-crushing, spine-squashing jabs and kicks. His ability to suspend his opponents in the air only to throw at them a barrage of bullets is scary, to say the least. Jack will be playable during the CEO 2015 event along wih the rest of the crew.

On the other hand, gamers dream of the time they will be able to play a console version of the title, which they hope will happen at the Electronic Entertainment Expo. "Tekken 7" will also show up at the Evolution Championship Series 2015, scheduled from July 17 to 19 at the Las Vegas Casino.
