'Supergirl' plot spoilers: pilot episode leaked

Melissa Benoist as Supergirl CBS

Six months before its official release, the entire pilot episode of the upcoming TV adaptation of DC Comics' "Supergirl" was leaked online. Torrent Freak says that the leaks easily grew endemic overnight, with groups namely LoL and DiMENSiON being the provider of the torrent download links.

Unlike the leaked "Game of Thrones" episodes, this one lacks any watermark or anything that would make it easy for CBS to track down the source, which, in turn, poses a bigger challenge for the TV network in stopping further dissemination of the episode that is supposed to air in November.

The leaked episode is a clear copy with no distortion whatsoever. The quality is not just watchable, it is excellent, to say the least. Due to it being so widespread now, screenshots, gifs and possibly more download links are, without doubt, now bouncing around the Web.

This massive leak is not new at all. Pilot episodes of "The Flash, "Constantine," and even "Gotham" were leaked prior to their prearranged release dates, allowing the world to watch the first small screen adventures of the heroes before it should.

"Supergirl," which stars Melissa Benoist as the titular character, follows the story of Kara Zor-El who fled from her planet before it was destoryed and erased from existence. A lengthy trailer for the series, which was viewed more than 10 million times, was released to give a first look at the new superhero's exploits.

Kara concealed her powers for years and lived life as a normal human being, dealing with a demanding boss, falling in love with a cool guy, and enjoying the love of her adorable family. It is not until she is 24 that she realizes that planet Earth needs her super-powers and abilities.

Approached by Hank Henshaw, the head of a super-secret agency that knows of the super-charged, unimaginable threats looming over the city, Kara realizes that she is destined to be a hero and ordained, after all, to become Supergirl.
