'Suicide Squad' cast news: Joker to be muscular in the movie, some scenes leaked

The most talked about member of the infamous supervillain squadron has to be The Joker. Jared Leto, who will play as the clown-clad madman in the upcoming superhero flick "Suicide Squad," never fails to make the headlines, mainly for the prominent changes and preparations he is doing to perfect a believable rendition of Batman's serial killer nemesis.

If "Suicide Squad" tipster Umberto Gonzalez is right, The Joker in the highly-anticipated DC adaptation will don green hair, bleached skin and a strapping build. The scooper said in his Instagram account that the version "Suicide Squad" will use for The Joker is the one seen on "The Dark Knight Returns." This would explain why the actor/ singer/ songwriter is putting in more weight.

He will have to be well-built to play the part. Gonzalez says that one scene in the movie will show The Joker working out inside the prison where Amanda Weller, the person responsible for the creation of the band of baddies, keeps him. This secure unit is said to be the Belle Reve prison complex. According to reports, the criminal is being locked up to either be interrogated for his crimes or it's Weller's way to capture Harley Quinn as well.

This also leads to another big detail about the movie. Belle Reve houses another one of the many enemies of Batman, the mad scientist Hugo Strange. Gonzalez dished out that the bad, bald and brilliant psychologist will appear in "Suicide Squad" and he will have moments where fans will see him talking to The Joker and even Harley Quinn.

Despite the rampant rumors of Strange's inclusion, there's no telling who will be the actor to portray the character. But for now, it is more than enough to know that a treacherous villain will jump from animated shows and video games to the big screen.

"Suicide Squad" will be out Aug. 5, 2016.
