Video game developers have announced that its fighting game "Street Fighter V" is getting a major revamp with its upcoming "Arcade Edition." The tremendous new version, however, will not be free but contains more than enough additional content that will make fans and/or owners of the game to still want it.

In a report by Gamespot, "Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition" will have fans experience multiple changes and improvements of the game, which will also include content from the season 1 and season 2 of "Street Fighter V." This means that all of the in-game unlockable will have already been unlocked when buying the updated version, as well as even more additional content that aims to enhance player experience for both veterans and beginners.

The additional content is nothing to scoff at either, since it seems that the developers have created a proper homage to the popular series' success across three decades since it began. With a rich history and a story that fans already love, the Extra Battle mode will get players facing members of the Shadaloo for some Fight Money. The Arcade mode will be a great addition for long time players since it allows them to revisit stages from the previous games.

In terms of gameplay, a V-Trigger II feature will be added so that players can provide more variety and dynamic to their play style. If that is not enough, Capcom has also decided to add an extensive illustration gallery to show off the development of the "Street Fighter" series over the years.

With regards to the roster of available in-game characters, players will be able to use a total of 28 of them – from previous downloadable content and a new character that has yet to be revealed.

"Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition" will be available on Jan. 16, 2018 for about $39.99.
