The two dimensional game from developers Capcom, "Street Fighter V" is going to have a special version in the form of the Arcade Edition. Capcom made the announcement early this month, and has revealed more details ahead of its January release, including the incentives in store for players who pre-order the game.

In a report by PlayStation Lifestyle, the pre-order bonuses are something to look forward to, especially for fans who are big on whimsically customizing their favorite characters. The pre-order bonuses include the Nostalgia Costume bundle, and the 30th Anniversary Costume Bundle, which holds five costumes and four costumes, respectively. These will be a welcome addition on top of the many new features included in the Arcade Edition.

For the Nostalgia Bundle, the characters who will be receiving the free costumes include Alex, Ibuki, Juri, Kolin, and Akuma. As for the 30th Anniversary, costumes for Karin, M. Bison, Guile, and Ibuki will be receiving make-over options.

In terms of costume quantity, this may not seem like a lot, especially compared to the offerings of other fighting games, but at least they will be free for those who pre-order the game. It is important to note that, according to Event Hubs, the pre-order bonus will only be made available to those who purchase the physical copies in specific retailers. Namely, these retailers are Game Stop, Best Buy, and EB Games for those in Canada.

For those who do not pre-order "Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition," they will have to purchase the outfits at the estimated price of $3.99 each costume – if they choose to do so. However, some opinions state that the Arcade Edition could potentially not push even the biggest "Street Fighter" fans to pick it up, especially since it will not even be including the characters released during the first and second season passes.

According to Segment Next, the free costumes could be a marketing strategy by Capcom to incentivize players to pay for the game.

"Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition" is scheduled to be launched on Jan. 16, 2018.
