If viewers of the teaser trailer for the most awaited movie "Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens" did not break the Internet, ardent fans who forage for goodies, leaks and spoilers about the upcoming film would. Exactly a year before the chronicle reopens, clues and hints about the whole of the storyline are all the more being clamored for.

Mark Hamill, the actor who breathed life into Darth Vader's son, Luke Skywalker, is as stunned as the fans about returning to the franchise after three long decades.

"I don't know that I'm even completely recovered from my state of shock," 63-year-old Hamill shared to Entertainment Weekly.

"Part of the experience of [Star Wars] in my life was coming down from that, putting it behind me. We had a beginning, middle, and an end. And I certainly, in a million years, never expected to return. I thought, even if they do more trilogies, my story is over," he then added.

Hamill is reprising his iconic role in the 2015 film and it is something he never thought he would still do.

"This is about the new generation of characters; I think that's the most important thing. It's the opening act of a whole new approach to the storytelling," Hamill, who was only 26 when he first starred in the saga, said. "So I never thought that the stories would be - first of all, I never thought I'd be involved in it again, period."

Meanwhile, the actor also mentioned BB-8, the adorable droid that made viewers of the trailer say "aww" in cuteness. He revealed that the live prop (yes, it's not CGI) is a joy to play around with.

Along with Hamill are several stars from the first trilogy who will return to reprise their roles, namely Harrison Ford as Han Solo, Carrie Fisher as Princess Leia, Anthony Daniels as C-3PO, Peter Mayhew as Chewbacca, and Kenny Baker as R2-D2. "Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens" will hit the silver screen on Dec. 18, 2015.
