There were persistent rumors about the emergence of the highly-anticipated shooter "Star Wars: Battlefront" in the forthcoming Star Wars Celebration. They were mere speculations until Electronic Arts designated the date and time for the actual release of its first-ever trailer.

"The team at DICE is zeroing in on the final details for our appearance at Star Wars Celebration and we're ready to make good on our promise to reveal more details around Star Wars Battlefront," EA said in a blog post

The studio admits that "it has been hard to keep these secrets from the community" but now, it is all set to give the gaming realm the ever-demanded first look of the ultimate "Star Wars" battle experience on April 17 at 10:30 a.m. PT.

The lucky ones who will be able to attend the Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim will also get the chance to see the game in action although it will be conducted behind closed doors. Some surprise activities also await participants of the convention.

For those who will not be able to be there, EA vows not to "leave you out in the cold without a tauntaun." They can check out the trailer via EA's official website for "Star Wars: Battlefront" and other Star Wars channels from April 16 to 19.

"Star Wars Battlefront" is being prepped up for a holiday release this year. One of the game's designers named Viktor Lundberg says that the game is shaping up quite nicely, which may actually earn the team some days-off.

"So much progress over the last couple of weeks," Lundberg tweeted. "Looking forward to us all getting Thursday-Monday off," he then added.

Everyone is excited to see the latest iteration of the epic shooter series. It is being developed by DICE, which aims to mold the game into what "Battlefront" should be.

"Star Wars: Battlefront" will land on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC in December this year.
