A charity video from the "Star Trek Beyond" crew confirmed two things about the cast of the highly-anticipated sci-fi film. First is that Idris Elba will be starring in the film and the second one is that any fan with a generous heart could join the ensemble in a walk-on role.

The "Pacific Rim" actor was in the said footage along with the confirmed cast members for the movie. Elba pops up toward the end of the video and says, "But the best part is that your contribution will support all nine remarkable causes." Chris Pine aka Captain Kirk acknowledges his arrival, saying, "Idris, glad you could join us."

Elba even shows his wicked breakdancing skills in the video. It remains to be seen which character the actor will portray although there are speculations that he will be a villain in "Star Trek Beyond." A couple of months ago, Simon Pegg, who is writing the script and at the same time starring in the film, revealed during an interview with MTV that this character has never been seen before and will debut in the silver screen.

The video, on the other hand, encourages fans to donate to one of the nine charities personally picked by the stars. Called the "To Boldly Go" campaign, the contest is created in partnership with Omaze and gives fans a chance to hang out with the "Star Trek Beyond" crew, watch them film, and even star in the movie.

The only thing needed to make this dream come true is to register here and to donate at least $10 to one of the following: Brave Beginnings, Camp Sunshine, DirectRelief, KidsCan, Heaven Homes, Koreatown Youth & Community Center, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Make a Wish, and Time Is Precious.

The more donations one makes, the more chances of winning the coveted spot. Those who contribute more than the minimum will get collectibles such as t-shirts, concept arts, and a replica of the captain's chair. Donations will be accepted from July 21 to Sept. 1.

"Star Trek Beyond" will hit the silver screen on July 8, 2016.
