Sony is prepping for a launch of multiple Xperia devices in Hong Kong and Taiwan, and there are speculations that these countries may very well be second and third to Japan to see Sony's flagship, the Xperia Z4. However, they won't be calling the smartphone by that name.

Members of the media in Hong Kong and Taiwan received invites that pertain to the release of "the new Xperia flagship" that has "top camera, screen, sound, water and design all rolled into one."

It is heavily rumored that the handset will take on the name Sony Xperia Z3+ when it arrives in the aforementioned territories. It will serve as the tech firm's fulfillment to its promise regarding the release of an international variant of the Xperia Z4, which the company released exclusively in Japan.

Sony is expected to bring the Xperia Z4 Tablet along, as well as the recently released Xperia C4, Sony's stab at a selfie-focused offering. Four product development engineers will take the stage to give details on the makings of the Xperia devices to be showcased during the events scheduled on May 27 in Taiwan and May 28 in Hong Kong.

The Sony Xperia Z4 dons the Xperia Z3's OmniBalance design. It has a 5.2-inch Triluminos display that renders a 1080p resolution. Inside is a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor complemented with 3 GB of RAM and 64 GB of expandable storage. The flagship also has a 20.7-megapixel rear-facing shooter and a 5.1-megapixel snapper on the front. It also packs a 2930 mAh battery unit and on the connectivity front is LTE support.

Meanwhile, Sony will also hold an event in India on May 26 but it is heavily speculated that the handsets to be launched there are the Sony Xperia M4 Aqua (due to the emphasis on the waterproof feature on the invite) and the Xperia Z4 Tablet.
