The cover on the Samsung Galaxy S6 will not be taken off until March 1 but one carrier already has a pre-order page prepared for the device. Dutch carrier Tele2 had put up its pre-order page for the Samsung Galaxy S6 although it was immediately taken down, with a spokesperson from the company telling tech site BGR that the page was no more than a mockup and that the smartphone is not on offer.
The company managed to get the page offline (but not quick enough), in the hopes of avoiding precious details about the handset from being leaked mere days prior to its actual unveiling. However, screenshots of it were already taken and, expectedly, a wealth of particulars were mined.
If Tele2 will ever offer the Samsung Galaxy S6, it will cost 35 euros per month — free at a 44 euro-monthly plan. As seen in the page, there is a 32 GB model and a 64 GB version of the handset for the taking. They are both in gold, black and white. It is also equipped with a microSD slot that will allow for up to 128 GB memory expansion.
Tele2 listed that the Samsung Galaxy S6 has a 5.1-inch quad HD display encased in a sleek 6.9 mm body. The newest Galaxy S device only weighs 165 grams, which is surprisingly light for a handset that is touted to come in a metal and a glass-clad shell. So that aspect is especially exciting to see.
The bigger giveaway from the Tele2 page is the S6's processor. Samsung is rumored to drop Qualcomm as its supplier and is said to manufacture its own chipsets for its devices without outside help. The Samsung Galaxy S6, as per Tele2, will be powered up with a quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex-A53 and a quad-core 1.9 GHz Cortex-a57 processor, which is most likely Exynos.
An all-new mobile payment service set to give Apple Pay a run for the money will also be shipped with the Galaxy S6. Moreover, it has Android Lollipop straight out of the box. On the whole, the Samsung Galaxy S6 is looking to be a stunning handset to keep an eye out for. The South Korea-based tech giant is expected to show it off during its Unpacked event, which is happening tomorrow, March 1.
