Samsung has yet to make the so-called Galaxy S6 Mini official but most of its specs were already leaked. Thanks to an information-filled, not-so spoiler-shy GFX Benchmark database, the imposing makings of the flagship's hottest flavor were revealed.

Carrying the model number SM-G9198, the smartphone will show up with a 4.6-inch High Definition display that will render a 1280 x 768 pixel resolution. It will draw its power from a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, set at 1.8 GHz, which will put it on par with the LG G4, which uses the same unit.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 Mini will have 2 GB of RAM and offer up at least 16 GB of internal storage, and it will only go up from there. The pocket smartphone will also run Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, the newest build of Google's latest operating system, straight out of the box.

According to GFX, Samsung will make use of a 16-megapixel rear-facing shooter for the Mini handset. This unit would let users snap some great photos and record videos at 1080p. Its 5-megapixel snapper on the front should be a hit among selfie-loving owners.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 Mini is keeping the barometer and the motion processor its parent smartphones boast. It is expected to also take after the Galaxy S6's or S6 Edge's premium design language. Its launch date is still a mystery but Samsung is expected to confirm soon if this device is really the S6 Mini.

Samsung is fond of making variations of its flagship. It was just weeks ago when the South Korea-based tech firm took advantage of the "Avengers: Age of Ultron" fever and brought out a limited edition Iron Man Samsung Galaxy S6, which featured the hero on the back cover matching his insignias.

The company is also rumored to release the Samsung Galaxy S6 Active, a waterproof device expected to be made available through U.S. carriers soon. Leaked press renders of the device show it sporting a guise bulkier than the standard device.
