Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy Edge: Pre-order options

Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 Edge release date on Apr. 10. Samsung

The all-new Samsung Galaxy S6 and its Edge variant are taking the world by storm. The metal and glass-caked pair of devices was recently put up for pre-order and, in the twinkling of an eye, there were already 20 million orders, which only proves the hype is strong and that many are indeed excited to get their hands on the device.

The orders from wireless network operators boosted up the figure mainly because the demands are getting bulkier than ever before, proving that the South Korea-based company's flagship is a smartphone sensation. It was heavily hyped before the covers were taken off, much more when it was unveiled officially.

The 20-million-figure was revealed to The Korea Times by an unnamed executive who works for a leading mobile network operator in Europe. The mystery Samsung enthusiast went as far as saying that the feat is undoubtedly a record-breaker for Samsung.

Meanwhile, GSM Arena says that the Samsung Galaxy Edge is the one getting the bigger and wider fanfare.

EBay is wasting no time in bringing large number of units to the U.K. The retail giant has opened its doors for buyers who long to pre-order the curved smartphone wonder and its standard counterpart. The device will ship April 10 as this is the date the handsets will be brought out to the market. EBay offers the devices in black and white. A 32 GB model of the Galaxy S6 is for the taking with a £549.99 price tag, while it costs £649 to snag a Galaxy S6 Edge with 64 GB memory space ready.

Buyers can also get the Galaxy S6 or the Edge via MobileFun.co.uk, which put up a 64 GB variant of the latter for £700 and its 32 GB version for £649. Those who like the standard S6 can pre-order a 3 GB model for £579. Although pricier, the perk here is that users can get either device in Gold color.

Lastly, there's unclockemobiles.com, which has the Galaxy Edge up for grabs for £649.98 and attached a £549.89 price tag for the curve-less model. Sadly though, no storage and color options were listed.

EE, O2, Three, Vodafone and Virgin will bring in the handsets, too, but it is likely to happen past the release date.
