South Korean giant Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. recently announced and launched its latest Galaxy Note 5 phablet this month. The Galaxy Note 5 is the company's successor to last year's popular Galaxy Note 4 phablet.

Meanwhile, back in April, LG Electronics unveiled and released its LG G4 smartphone globally.

In terms of specifications and features, here are the differences between two of this year's most powerful handsets.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 sports a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display screen with a 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution. This screen is protected by the latest Corning Gorilla Glass 4 and comes with an S Pen stylus and fingerprint scanning capability on the back. It has a 16-megapixel camera on the back and a 5-megapixel camera on the front.

The LG G4 sports a smaller 5.5-inch IPS LCD display screen with a 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution as well. Its screen is protected by Corning's older Gorilla Glass 3. As for its shooting features, the G4 has a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera as well and a more powerful 8-megapixel front-facing camera.

Under the hood, the new Galaxy Note 5 is powered by Samsung's Exynos 7420 processor, quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 and quad-core 2.1 GHz Cortex-A57 central processing units (CPUs), and Mali-T760MP8 graphics processing unit (GPU).  Also, it comes with 4 GB of RAM and up to 64 GB of non-expandable built-in memory storage.

On the other hand, the LG G4 packs a Qualcomm MSM8992 Snapdragon 808 processor, quad-core 1.44 GHz Cortex-A53 and dual-core 1.82 GHz Cortex-A57 CPUs, and an Adreno 418 GPU, according to GSM Arena. This phone has 3 GB of RAM and up to 32 GB internal memory, which may be expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card.

Both Samsung's Galaxy Note 5 and LG G4 come with big 3,000 mAh battery. According to GSM Arena, the G4's battery can be charged up to 60 percent in just 30 minutes using its Quick Charge 2.0 feature.
