Samsung Galaxy Active 6 release date: Leaks continue to come out

Will a new color-themed Samsung Galaxy Active S6 be out soon? There is word out that the Galaxy S6 Active could be the next device which may be revealed soon after the release of the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge. If so, the Galaxy S6 Active should be a great choice for people looking at a rugged smartphone to have.

With leaks seemingly coming out one after the other, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Active from AT&T may be unveiled soon.

Among the notable features for the Samsung Galaxy Active S6 is that it was designed for rugged use, highlighted by a waterproof casing. According to reports, the Galaxy Active S6 has already passed FCC certification and may soon be released by AT&T and succeed the previously rugged edition known as the Samsung Galaxy Active S5.

Leaked images show a black, camouflage and white color variants for the said device. It comes with a rugged rear case that is ably supported by screws, physical buttons and other waterproof features.

Among the features that the rugged handset is rumored to carry include a 5.1-inch quad HD display, something that would run on an Exynos 7420 processor, 3GB of RAM, microSD card support for storage and a 3,500 mAh battery to provide the needed power it will require. It will also carry a 16MP main camera and a 5MP front-facing camera.

The Galaxy Active S6 will not have a fingerprint sensor, apparently something that its predecessor didn't have as well.

There is no official word on when the Samsung Galaxy S6 Active would be hitting the market although there is a big possibility that it could be out by the Summer. Apparently the guess is based on the fact that its predecessor, the Galaxy S5 Active made its debut last year, May 30, 2014.

Hence if true, AT&T subscribers may be able to get their hands on the Samsung Galaxy Active S6 two weeks from now if the trend is to be believed.
