Ronda Rousey news 2015: Match with Cris 'Cyborg' Justino may have to wait

After the weigh-in for Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) 193, Dana White was in a Q&A with some members of the press and the UFC president did tackle a lot of things concerning the UFC.

That included touching on the rumors floating on whether Jose Aldo would indeed be at UFC 194 or not as well as some things tied up with UFC 200, which will be held in July 2016.

How about Rousey?

Well, by now many may have probably heard about her loss to Holly Holm. Unfortunately, it seems that White did not foresee such. In fact, he was hinting a bit on Rousey's next opponent — Cristiane "Cyborg" Justino — something fans have long been waiting for.

It remains to be seen if this will still materialize but the belief now is that it may have to wait — again. A Holm vs. Rousey rematch is likely to ensue so that means Justino will have to watch from the sidelines and see how this new and unforeseen rivalry develops.

Justino is someone who would have been Rousey's opponent had she satisfied the requirements of White. That included trimming down to the 135-pound catchweight as well as fighting at least once in the UFC setting.

Cyborg is set to compete at Invicta FC 15 on Dec. 5 at the 140-pound mark, something that inches her closer to the 135-pound catchweight. The belief is that such could happen by UFC 200 since Rousey had originally planned to take a respite after UFC 193.

But alas, all of that has been tied up with the shocker that happened recently, so Cyborg will have to wait a little bit longer. Such could work to her benefit though, allowing her to get her body used to a lighter weight class as Holm and Rousey slug it out for the meantime.
