The third season of the highly popular adult animated television series "Rick and Morty" is most likely still months away from being released but thankfully, details about the new season still keeps on coming out online. While the details themselves seem to be sporadic at best, they still provide some clues as to what fans can expect when the new episodes are released.

Previous reports have revealed that a split between Jerry and Beth might be featured in an episode in the show's third season. However, new reports also have revealed that the Galactic Government might be contacting Jerry and offering him a job.

Unfortunately, his employment with them will apparently be cut short when they find out about his relationship with Rick, who is still in their custody.

The show's co-creator Dan Harmon also mentioned that while the majority of the reports cite the Galactic Federation Prison as a focal point for the plot of the third season, they actually want to move away from it as quickly as possible. Based on his statement, it is now believed that Rick would most likely be escaping the prison early on in the new season. Of course, that might not be an easy task as Rick would have to find a way to outsmart the Gromflomite Prison General who has his eye on him at all times.

As for the other rumored details for the upcoming new season, an apparent beach adventure might be featured in one of the episodes as Harmon himself mentioned that he wants to take the characters to Hawaii.

A separate interview with the creators also revealed that they are actually interested in bringing in Vin Diesel to be part of the show. If Diesel should accept the offer, there is reportedly already a character that was custom made for him.

Adult Swim had yet to announce an official release date for the new season. However, reports have pegged its release to be sometime in March or April 2017.
