Prince Harry and Meghan Markle wedding date latest news: 'Keen to start a family'

A source revealed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are very interested to start a family, but are in no rush.

Talking to Us Weekly, the insider shared there is no pressure at all on the soon-to-be royal couple to have children, but this does not stop them from wanting them.

"Should they not want any, that would be fine. However, both are keen to start a family in the future," the source revealed, adding that they do not plan to do it immediately after the wedding.

"There is so much they want to do as a couple," the source continued.

The insider noted that Markle is already excited to begin working for the British Monarchy and has even started privately meeting with charities that her future husband helped set up "so she can get to know the humanitarian landscape of the UK."

The 33-year-old Captain General of the Royal Marines has always been very vocal about his desire to have children, saying he has longed for kids since he was "very, very young."

Talking to ABC back in 2012, Prince Harry said, "I'm waiting to find the right person, someone who is willing to take on the job."

But now that he has found the one, it looks like he is not in any hurry.

In the couple's first joint statement made in November, Britain's fifth in line said they do not plan to start a family right ahead.

"No, of course, you know, I think one step at a time, and hopefully we'll start a family in the near future," he said.

There is no shortage of young royals running around Kensington Palace, however, with Prince George and Princess Charlotte about to have a third sibling from their parents, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

Kate Middleton, who was pictured with her baby bump for the first time just a couple of days ago, is due to give birth in April.
