The augmented reality (AR) video game by Niantic, "Pokemon GO," is looking to update its features even further for the iOS by improving the iOS 11's AR capabilites with an upcoming patch. These features aim to give players a more realistic and highly improved AR system, which has been one of the primary complaints of players ever since the game was released back in 2016.

Reports state that Niantic's objective with the next update is to make full use of the Apple ARkit, which is the program built in the iOS that allows the developers to improve upon the existing AR services. As it turns out, this will allow Niantic to make the game feel more alive by showing more "dynamics" is blending the virtual aspects of the game with real-world experience.

On top of that, the update will allow the camera to spot and catch Pokemon with better accuracy, as well as provide dynamic perspective in the players view. This means that the Pokemon that will be appearing on players' screens will change as players approach them, or go further from them.

The Verge states that Niantic has been making use of "rough approximations" to place Pokemon in the real world through AR. This is considered to be a quick fix to somewhat satisfy the advertisement of the game -- which was the main marketing pull of "Pokemon Go" in the first place. With the big change in its update, "Pokemon Go" will have players experiencing a new way of playing the game as well.

Players will soon be able to sneak behind a Pokemon in order to have a higher chance of catching them -- a feature that provides more realism and variety to the current gameplay of "Pokemon GO." This mode is called Expert Handler. However, players will have to take extra precaution, since Pokemon will run away if they are not careful. The update is expected to arrive some time during the week.
