PIPO KB2 Mini PC news: It's a Windows 10 PC that looks exactly like a foldable keyboard

The recently unveiled PIPO KB2 Mini PC is such a wonder. It's a complete PC with a Windows 10 operating system, and it's all crammed into a folding keyboard design. It has its own battery, too.

The PIPO KB2 Mini PC was first spotted by Notebook Italia at a recent electronics trade show in Hong Kong. The Mini PC has a very unique design: it is a foldable keyboard and a whole desktop system is enclosed in it. It will not be able to handle graphic intensive games, however. But for basic computer use such as internet browsing, word processing, movie watching, and other basic computer task, the KB2 Mini PC is expected to work just fine. One would just be needing a display screen and a mouse, and it is good to go.

The foldable keyboard-designed mini PC houses an Intel Atom Cherry Trail Z8300-X5 processor that runs up to 1.84 GHz, paired with either 2 GB or 4 GB of RAM. It can also be equipped either with 32 GB or 64 GB internal storage, expandable via a microSD slot.

PIPO, a Chinese tech gadget manufacturer, knows how frustrating it is for users if there is only a single USB port, so the company decided to include one USB 3.0, one USB 2.0 and one micro USB ports. There are also two ways to connect a display screen on the device, either wired via its HDMI port or wireless via its built-in WiDi feature.

It also has a WiFi adaptor that will work on a large scale of wireless routers, ac/a/b/g/n, plus Bluetooth. A DC in and an earphones jack is also present. Moreover, it contains a 2,500 mAh battery.

Hexus described Pipo's KB2 as an oversized Nintendo Gameboy SP.

Currently, the Pipo KB2 does not have any pricing yet, but it will be released in Japan soon.

A PIPO KB1 Mini PC was also revealed alongside the KB2. They are almost identical in the technical department. However, the KB1 does not have a folding design, but it contains a track pad and a bigger battery.
