Paul Haggis sexual misconduct news: More people come forward

The Oscar-winning Canadian director and filmmaker Paul Haggis is one of the many people in the entertainment business who is accused of sexual misconduct. Four new witnesses have come forward, and have shared the details from when they were allegedly taken advantage of by Haggis. Two of the allegations have been described by the victims as rape, which put Haggis in much more trouble as of now.

As reported by the Associated Press, one of Haggis' publicists accused him of forcing himself on her with the intention of getting oral pleasure, and then proceeded to have his way with her afterward. The allegation falls under the category of rape, for which Haggis could be facing dire consequences if he is found guilty. One of the other accusers stated that Haggis expressed disturbing words to her, which were inappropriately forthcoming with his sexual intent.

Fortunately for the latter accuser, she was able to get away from the uncomfortable situation. However, some of Haggis' victims were not so lucky. Another accuser stated that in 1996, Haggis physically overpowered her at an alley, and forcibly kissed her away from the sight of potential witnesses. The victim was able to escape later on, but not after Haggis had already put his lips on her. As of now, the Canadian director firmly denies the accusations.

Haggis' attorney, Christine Lepera, stated that the Canadian filmmaker "did not rape anybody." On top of that, she also stated that the four accusers have not made their intentions of coming forward known to Haggis, implying that the "Crash" director has absolutely no idea of what they were talking about, or what they plan to get out of their filed allegations. It is speculated by Haggis and his team that the publicity stunt is an effort to "get more money out of him."

Haggis is still pushing through with his extortion lawsuit against the woman who first came forward and spoke against him back in December.
