OnePlus Two release date, specs rumors: To be unveiled on July 27

The much awaited debut of OnePlus's successor to the OnePlus One will happen on July 28 at a Virtual Reality event.

The announcement comes no less from OnePlus themselves which further adds that this would be a first and something pegged to make users viewing from home feel that they are actually part of the launch.

The long awaited release has left a lot of potential buyers restless the last couple of months but the Chinese company asked for extended patience  for the delays n the official release of the highly anticipated phone. And apparently OnePlus may be trying to do it in style with the said virtual reality setting, a first which could set off a trend for other companies as far as official unveilings are concerned.

How does one get to enjoy the one of a kind experience? With the help of the OnePlus Google Cardboard VR headsets which can be found here.

Such becomes an interesting event, especially since one doesn't even have to be there. Streams for the event will do which, according to OnePlus, practically places them alongside the team and the flagship phone.

OnePlus has gained quite a following ever since the release of the OnePlus One and the successor may now have its work cut out for them.

Among the rumored specs the OnePlus Two will bring include a device that would run on Snapdragon 810 and feature a USB Type C port.

Other rumored specs include a possible 5.5-inch display, 4GB of RAM, and a 3,300 mAh battery. It remains to be confirmed but there is wide belief that the OnePlus Two could be running on the company's new Oxygen OS.

Pricing for the phone is speculated to start at $363 for the 16GB version. Though a bit higher than the $300 OnePlus One, it would be best to see if the slightly higher price would be worth it, as well as the wait.
