The OnePlus One will reportedly get a major Cyanogen Mod 11S system update and bring major fixes for the said smartphone. However it should be noted that the said update could very well be the last one for the Android 4.4.4 after which the so-called Flagship Killer smartphone killer is expected to move on and be upgraded to the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop system.
The update will cover a lot of bugs that the current OS carries. Notable among those problems include that of media codes, security NFC updates and so on. The phone's camera stands to benefit as well since it will now be given three video focus options. Lastly, the said update will also remove obsolete features such as key layouts, unused strings in CMAccount as well.
The system is set to improve in general, and hopefully this final update will cover a lot of the issues that the phone had.
Most of the issues that the OnePlus One has so far been having are amply covered by the team behind the said phone in collaboration with third party developers as well. Additional options come in the form of ROMS including Lollipop CyanogenMod 12 and AOSP builds.
