The Chinese smartphone manufacturing brand, OnePlus, has taken some initiative to improve some issues regarding their camera for the OnePlus 5T. The creators of the smartphone have deemed it necessary, especially since their rear dual camera was one of the strongest selling points of this particular model. They aim to accomplish this by sending out a patch update for the owners of the phone next month.

In a report by Android Headlines, the company's co-founder, Carl Pei, confirmed in the OnePlus forum that the OnePlus 5T will indeed be receiving the camera update. Specifically, the update will be looking to improve the low light capabilities of the rear dual camera, as well as enhance the crispness and sharpness of the images that it takes. On top of that, the update will also see to it that the selfie capabilities are enhanced as well.

As it turns out, the feedback that OnePlus has received about the model's ability to capture as much detail in darker spaces was leaving more to be desired. Fortunately, the tech company heeded to these concerns, and are still awaiting for more reviews so that they could improve upon their cameras further in the coming months. According to iGyaan, the company had gone a different direction with the camera of the OnePlus 5T before they released it.

OnePlus changed the second telephoto lens with a 20 mega pixel sensor, with an f/1.7 aperture. These specifications should have direct and useful applications to low light situations, but as previously mentioned, the company was not able to fully deliver on their promise. This has caused the phone to receive some poor reviews from some gadget critics.

The International Business Times has noted that the improvements that the company will be rolling out for their smartphones are still under careful observation and inspection. Pei and his workers have made it a point to speedily address the issues of their community. So far, this has been very consistent since they released a patch a few days ago to address other technical issues with the phone.

The OnePlus 5T camera improvement patch is expected to be available sometime next month.
