'No Man's Sky' may come out as a PS4-exclusive

Xbox One players who have been waiting for the intergalactic exploration-based title "No Man's Sky" may not be able to play it. While Microsoft would have wanted it to be playable on the console, it looks like the title will be released as a PS4-exclusive.

The tech giant has no worries though as it has enough Xbox One titles of the same caliber under its belt. Microsoft is not showing signs of concern should the game — with the heaping potential of being an exceptional and bestselling title — will be landing on a sole platform that isn't theirs.

However, "No Man's Sky" is a game with gracious standing at the moment. Many believe it will be a game to beat. Even before it comes out, the unique title is touted as one of the most inventive games in the field.

It will not be an overstatement to say that "No Man's Sky" could be the sole reason why some may cash in for a PlayStation 4 unit. However, the Xbox team is not discounting the possibility of bringing the game to their console.

"Unless a title can never come to Xbox, because a developer has signed a publishing deal with someone else, any title can come to ID@Xbox," Agostino Simonetta, European exec of the ID@Xbox program, told Eurogamer

"We always get this question. The answer is pretty straightforward. We do understand that developers sometimes need to decide which platform to tackle first," he then went on to say.

Developed by Hello Games, the title sends players into a universe of epic proportions. In fact, the developer managed to fit eight quintillion worlds so it's no wonder "No Man's Sky" will be full of surprises. With a setting that meteoric, Hello Games has created a space probe capable of bringing players into each of those innumerable settings.

Fans of the late film director and cinematographer Stanley Kubrick would also love what the game studio did for the intro of the game. According to reports, the welcoming sequence of the game looks a lot like Kubrick's iconic work, the epic science fiction film "2001: A Space Odyssey."

"No Man's Sky" is rumored to be released summer this year.
