Nintendo NX news: Ubisoft CEO expecting a stellar console

The Nintendo NX remains shrouded in mystery, but Ubisoft chief executive officer Yves Guillemot is confident that the console will be a stellar product.

In a meeting with investors with the company, Guillemot was quoted by French journalist Chloé Woitier as saying, "I believe Nintendo will be back in the race with the NX."

According to Venture Beat, Ubisoft has seen success with Nintendo collaborations such as "Just Dance" and the "Rabbids" titles released to the Wii U.

This is why Guillemot makes sure that fans are as excited for the Nintendo NX as his company is. In fact, this is not the first time he spoke about the upcoming console.

During another Ubisoft presentation, the CEO also spoke about how the Nintendo NX is a "fantastic machine," as quoted by GameSpot.

"It's really a new approach, it's really Nintendo, [which is] coming with something new again. We love it," he went on to say about the company's next-generation product.

That being said, fans can expect Ubisoft games to be released to the Nintendo NX. One of these games is "Just Dance 2017," which doesn't come as a surprise, given how successful the one that came in Wii U was.

There are also other projects that Ubisoft is putting together for the Nintendo NX, so fans should see several Ubisoft titles for the new console.

With regards to the NX itself, Nintendo has been keeping its cards close to its chest. Rumors suggest, however, that it will be a hybrid of a handheld and a console.

Making it stand out further is the purported use of cartridges, which were made obsolete a couple of decades ago. Nintendo is looking to give a new spin on these items.

As for the release date, it is also being reported that the Nintendo NX will be unveiled at some point this month with the console expected to go on sale by March next year.
