Though NFL free agency will not be official until March 10, 2015, a lot of buzz is going around. Considering this year's free agent market is considered one of the strongest, but the talent that would be available in the market will still depend on the current status of players and teams by March.
A lot of familiar names are already being mentioned via the rumor mill and some of them may just be headed to different teams. But at the top of the list of possible free agents who may be headed to greener pastures is defensive line Ndamukong Suh of the Detroit Lions.
After earning a record $22 million last year, the Lions may be parting with their defensive line who has done his share of contributing on the defensive end as well. What makes Suh controversial is his tag of being one of the dirtier players of the game.
The recent suspension of Suh is a clear indication of the type of player he is and will be most certainly not the last. Suh served a suspension and was forced to miss their playoff game against the Dallas Cowboys.
That infraction was when Suh stepped on the arm of Green Bay Packer Aaron Rodgers – twice. His absence from the Lions over the weekend could prove to be crucial especially on both ends.
Regardless of his less than desirable reputation, Suh is still a player that can help any team. Though his specialty does seem to come from the defensive end, the guy can do damage on the offensive side.
The Browns are seriously considering Suh and it looks like salary will not be a problem. If that deal does materialize, Suh stands to become one of the highest paid defensive line-men in NFL history.
