Google's Nexus 6

Verizon started selling the Droid Turbo from Motorola that will battle head on with other smartphones, including Motorola and Google's Nexus 6.

Verizon announced the Droid Turbo release date and pricing, and buyers can get their hands on the 32 GB model of the device for $199 as long as they are willing to sign a two-year contract. The device is also available under Verizon's Edge plan for $25 per month. The 64 GB model is priced at $249 on-contract.

Meanwhile, Nexus 6 is reportedly out of stock minutes after it went on sale at the Google Play Store. Apparently, consumers grabbed the opportunity to bag the new Nexus 6 right after it went on sale.

Design

Nexus 6 fuses the design and form factor of the previous Motorola and Nexus handsets. The Motorola Droid Turbo packs the same design and profile of the Droid handset.

Screen Display

Google Nexus 6 boasts a 5.96-inch AMOLED display with Quad HD (1440 x 2560) resolution and a pixel density of 493 ppi. Meanwhile, the Motorola Droid Turbo boasts a 5.2-inch AMOLED display with Quad HD (1440 x 2560) resolution and a pixel density of 565 ppi.

Processor

The Motorola Droid Turbo and the Nexus 6 are both powered by a Snapdragon 805 chipset clocked at 2.7 GHz and an Adreno 420 graphics chipset. Both are also equipped with 3 GB of RAM.

Operating System

The Motorola Droid Turbo runs the Android 4.4.4 KitKat OS that will be upgraded to the new 5.0 Lollipop version of Android once Google released the OS to third party manufacturers. Meanwhile, the Nexus 6 smartphone runs the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop OS.

Internal Storage

Both Nexus 6 and Droid Turbo are available in 32 GB and 64 GB storage variants.

Battery

Google Nexus 6 comes with a 3220 mAh battery pack that supports its features. On the other hand, Motorola Droid Turbo has a higher battery capacity of 3900 mAh.
