'NCIS: LA' season 8 episode 6 spoilers: team has a difficult maintenance worker on their hands

A promotional still from "NCIS: LA" season 8 CBS

The team will be under serious time pressure in the next installment of "NCIS: Los Angeles" season 8 as they attempt to save the life of a teenager. Episode 6 is titled "Home Is Where the Heart Is."

In the upcoming episode, the clock will be ticking fast for Callen (Chris O'Donnell), Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen), and Sam (LL Cool J) as they try to figure out where in the hundreds of containers a maintenance worker is hiding his victim.

The incident took place after the maintenance man, as per the "NCIS: LA" season 8 episode 6 synopsis, saved the life of a lieutenant commander, leading the team to uncover his dark past.

The episode 6 promo suggests that he gave the trio a deadline, which, if they do not meet, will activate a bomb. This is actually what happens in the clip when Deeks said he "got something."

This suggests that either every container opened without the girl in it will set off an explosive, or it is simply an added type of pressure as time ticks away fast. Whichever the case is, Callen is feeling the pressure more and more saying, "We're out of time."

Before they got close to retrieving the girl, the promo teases that they also had to exchange shots with the perpetrator.

Meanwhile, the synopsis of the episode suggests that the episode will not be completely dark in tone as Sam will go to a Los Angeles football game and will decide which member of the team will come with him, a decision that will prove to be difficult.

It is unclear if it occurs before or after he had to save the teenage girl's life, but if it is the latter, it will definitely be a great way to celebrate a win.

"NCIS: LA" season 8 episode 6, "Home Is Where the Heart Is," airs on Sunday, Oct. 30, at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
