A new patch for the Xbox One and the PS4 versions of "NBA 2K16" is being prepared. It will be patch 3 for console gamers when it goes out. At the moment though, it is currently being looked over by Sony and Microsoft, who will, in turn, release it, in two weeks' time as per reports.

The patch is expected to quash the pertinent bugs and issues plaguing the game. "We're just nerfing poorly rated shot blockers so guys like JJ Redick aren't throwing shots like Lebron," gameplay director Mike Wang said (via Design & Trend). "Blocks are being addressed in Patch 3," he added.

"NBA 2K16" players can also expect a slew of gameplay and stability improvements for the game. Patch 3 makes the game easier for stepback jumpers. Gamers will no longer have issues with getting off-balanced during "contested shots." The change also promises little to no issues on compact shots.

While Wang has been working on Patch 3 to improve the latest iteration of the hit basketball simulation, it turns out he has already started doing "new designs and feature work" on the newly released game's predecessor, "NBA 2K17."

"So as much as I'd love to mess with you guys by tweaking the game every day, that's simply not a good use of time," the gameplay director said. Indeed, Wang is utilizing all the time he can get for shaping up a follow-up to the game.

Needless to say, not much info is available when it comes to the upcoming title. For now, gamers ought to enjoy "NBA 2K16." Just recently, a new locker code was revealed. Detroit Pistons center himself Andre Drummond was the one to announce it via his Twitter.

The code is WMP5C-M6XLG-PMEEB-D1HRL-C3Y29, which is made available in honor of the superstar's insane 25 points and 29 rebounds during his latest play.
