The tech community is bound to see a new Moto X in the coming months. Just recently, Motorola president Rick Osterloh took time to exchange tweets with the tech firm's users and patrons about the company's future plans.

As he conversed with one user about the Moto X lineup and the release date of its next offering under that umbrella, Osterloh revealed that the company plans to "stay on a roughly annual cycle for all of our products, including Moto X."

This means that a new device, one fitting to be called the Moto X 2015, should be arriving sometime in August or September. Its would-be predecessor, the second-generation Moto X (2014) was unveiled in September last year, while the original Moto X came out in August 2013.

It can also imply that Motorola will introduce the new device in August and will release it come September. Nevertheless, with this new information at hand, it won't be long before leaks and news about the device start to emerge.

For now, users can expect the Moto X 2015 to be powered by a Snapdragon 810 processor, the newest from Qualcomm and the chipset of choice for a number of new high-end handsets. Motorola and Qualcomm reportedly confirmed that an undisclosed device from the former will be housing a product from the latter. There is no word if it will be the third-generation Moto X but there are many reasons to believe that it will be.

For now, it looks like fans of the Moto X lineup will have to wait for the company's plans to unfold in the coming months.

On a side note, during his time on Twitter, Osterloh also managed to verify that the tech firm is not working on a tablet. The Motorola president then said that Lenovo is the best go-to for those who want to snag an Android tablet.
