The second generation Motorola Moto E 4G has landed in India, and will be available exclusively through Flipkart, Motorola's retail partner in the country. Users in India can already pre-order the device from there.

The brand new Motorola offering, which comes in black and white, is priced at Rs. 7999, which is Rs. 1000 more than its 3G kin that launched in India two months ago. Flipkart lists the New Moto E 4G's release on April 23 while pre-ordered units will be shipped as early as April 28.

The Moto E 4G (2nd Gen) is quite an upgrade from the original Moto E, but as far as the difference between the second-gen 3G flavor and this one, there is not much difference. Both run Android 5.0 Lollipop and they make use of 1 GB RAM. Apart from connectivity, another distinction lies on the processor under their hoods.

The 3G version houses a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz and an Adreno 302 for graphics. The Moto E 4G (2nd Gen), on the other hand, is more powerful with a 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor set at 1.2 GHz.

The device comes with a 4.5-inch qHD display, which renders 245 ppi and is covered with Corning Glass 3 and anti-smudge coating. It features a 5-megapixel camera on the back but unfortunately, only a VGA 0.3-megapixel shooter on the front so it can't do much for the selfie fix. There's 8 GB of storage on the Moto E 4G (2nd Gen) and that can be expanded up to 32 GB with a microSD card. Lastly, usage power will be taken care of by a 2390 mAh battery unit.

Flipkart also has additional sidebands and back covers available for the Moto E 4G (2nd Gen) so consumers can take time to comb through the website to check them all out as well.
