With Apple's Watch expected to come out early this year, could the dawn of wearable be upon us? Though the actual release date remains a mystery, the Watch will reportedly become available after the Chinese New Year, February 19, 2015.
At present, we already have a bunch of wearable from other companies which have so far been slow to prosper. However, all that could change once the Apple Watch comes around.
Samsung, Motorola and LG have already released their own wearable devices last year, each designed with varying intentions.
Samsung with its Samsung Galaxy Gear S and the LG G Watch R have so far given consumers the chance to combine fashion and tech functionalities while the Motorola 360 could have been perfect if not for a bottom black bar that throws the wearable a bit off.
So will they benefit from the coming of the Apple Watch? Apparently the answer to that would be yes. These days, wearable have not made the impact similar to the dawn of high-end mobile phones but the Watch's coming could trigger the demand for these new gadgets.
The starting price for the Apple Watch will reportedly begin at $349 in the U.S. but may vary depending on the design and size.
For example, there is this high-end and expectedly expensive watch that is said to be made of real gold. The watch in mention is the Apple Watch Edition which is coming with a price tag that could reach as much as $5,000.
So what can we expect from the Apple Watch? Aside from being able to communicate and a fashion statement, the Watch will still carry the usual features you would expect from portable devices.
That includes a flexible retina display, a ceramic cover with sapphire lenses at the back, and a custom-designed S1 chip inside to distribute the juice needed for it to function accordingly.
On the fashion front, the iWatch will have six interchangeable straps and a range of watch faces for which a person could use once depending on their preference or taste.
Apple believes that once launched, the Apple Watch could sell as much as 30 million on the first year. Is it that good? Well if Apple CEO Tim Cook says that he has already fallen for it, then in all likeliness it is that GOOD!
