
Deafening "Mortal Kombat X" silence will finally be broken come Jan. 2. Since NetherRealms unmasked wicked warlock Quan Chi as part of the combat party, the developer has long been hushed about the rest of the promised 24-character roster.
Fans only knew that old fighters will be joined by new and unfamiliar combatants, some of which are kin of the classic warriors. NetherRealms blew the whistle on 10 of those. Apart from Quan Chi, there's the glorious return of crowd favorites and mortal enemies Scorpion and Sub-Zero as well as the comeback of thunder god Raiden and Kano. The game will also pave way to the beginning of the adventures of Goro, Cassie Cage, Kotal Khan, Ferra and Torr and D'Vorrah. Clamoring for more, rumor mills have been churning restlessly ever since, which led to conjectures on the possible inclusion of veteran characters like Liu Kang, Ermac and Kenshi.
But roughly after three months of silent treatment, a new character will finally be introduced via GamesMaster magazine. Basing on the statement made by "Mortal Kombat X" executive producer Shaun Himmerick, developers of the game should be doing the finishing touches and the ceremonial polishing of all its elements. Each of the characters will be getting three modifications to suit the gamers' need to overthrow their opponents and at the same time explore more about their favorite warriors in-depth.
As gamers come closer to the release of "Mortal Kombat X" to the PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC on Apr. 14, 2015, gamers can get busy by awaiting for the reveal of the newest character in the lineup on Jan. 2.
