As previously reported, developer NetherRealms Studios are working on a second DLC pack for "Mortal Kombat X" titled Kombat Pack 2. The studio has not yet given a specific release date but according to a report from Yibada, it is heavily speculated that the DLC will launch by March 2016.

The first Kombat Pack DLC began its launch on March 13 of this year when it released Jason Voorhees of the "Friday the 13th" film franchise as a playable character. Just one week later, this was followed by the release of the Predator or "Yautja" from the "Predator" film franchise.

Tanya from "Mortal Kombat 4" and Tremor from "Mortal Kombat: Special Forces" quickly followed. Along with the characters in the Kombat Pack DLC were additional costumes for existing characters such as a special costume for Jax that gave him the appearance and voice of Carl Weathers as seen in the first "Predator" movie.

It is heavily speculated that the second pack will follow the exact same release pattern, releasing one character in the middle of March 2016 with the other characters quickly following in the subsequent weeks. Additional costumes might be released all at the same time or in increments alongside each new character until all four have been released.

One thing that is sure is that there will be new costumes for Takeda and D'vorah. Ed Boon himself teased via Twitter that they will be gaining new costumes soon. However, it is uncertain at this point if he meant they will be included in next year's Kombat Pack 2 DLC or if they will be released separately, perhaps as a holiday special for Christmas.

At this point there is no confirmation regarding which characters will be included in the DLC, although as previously reported, there are speculations that it may contain Spawn, Smoke, Baraka, Sindel, Bo Rai Cho and even Wolverine from Marvel comics. However,  the latter is very unlikely given NetherRealms' good relationship with DC comics.
