'Mortal Kombat X' characters: Johnny Cage added, blind Eurasian swordsman Kenshi could be added too

"Mortal Kombat X" is close to organizing a Cage family reunion. Just recently, action movie martial artist Johnny Cage was confirmed to show off some moves in the franchise's bloodiest battleground. The overconfident fighter is gracing the roster where Cassie Cage, his daughter with Sonya Blade, is deemed to fight, too.

NetherRealm Studios senior producer Adam Urbano was the one to bring the good news via an interview with Game Crate during the Game Developers' Conference. Johnny Cage was long rumored to be a playable character in "Mortal Kombat X." Many thought that the latest iteration of the wildly popular fighting just has to have him around, basically because he has to beat up warriors and substantiate his brimming arrogance. The senior producer said Johnny Cage will get a Brutality that's quick to perform and will look so brutal when done (not like the others' which are not gruesome enough).

Urbano did not leave his seat without dropping a few more bombshells. "Mortal Kombat X" is likely to welcome more classic combatants and, on that juncture, gamers are to prime themselves for the possible arrival of blind Eurasian swordsman Kenshi.

The warrior with psychokinetic powers was seen in screenshots of the game's mobile version courtesy of Warner Bros. and has many convinced since. Besides, he will be an interesting addition to the lineup. Many want to see the sightless warrior take on new and legendary characters alike. He is one of those characters gamers just know would make it to "Mortal Kombat X." A total of 20 characters were unveiled, including Kenshi.

Although Urbano confirmed the Johnny Cage rumor, he quashed one that involves the alleged inclusion of Animalities and Babalities in "Mortal Kombat X." What is sure though is that Brutalities are back, but this time, players will see all the goriness in pristine visuals.

"Mortal Kombat X" will be ready for the Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on April 14 this year. It was also confirmed to come in a mobile version.
