'Mass Effect: Andromeda': more news releasing later this year

 Bioware

Now that "Mass Effect: Andromeda," the latest in Bioware's role-playing shooter series, is formally unveiled, gamers can expect more juicy details about the game to trickle in in the coming months. This is what the game studio said in a new tweet.

After getting praises from a fan, the acclaimed game studio encouraged the user and, in a way, announced through the official "Mass Effect" Twitter account to "make sure to stay tuned" for "exciting info coming near the end of the year."

Bioware folks have already returned to their desks to continue their work on "Mass Effect: Andromeda," which was officially announced during the team's Electronic Entertainment Expo press conference with a trailer that previewed the vast new world waiting to be explored.

"You'll be exploring an all-new galaxy, Andromeda, and piloting the new and improved Mako you saw," Bioware wrote in a blog post. "And through it all, you will have a new team of adventurers to work with, learn from, fight alongside of, and fall in love with."

Players can go through the intergalactic journey as either a male or a female human. Bioware manager Aaron Flynn also revealed during an interview with Arstechnica that "Mass Effect: Andromeda," which the team started working on years back, still represents the storytelling pioneered in the franchise.

"I think it's fair to say that's a hallmark of Bioware, and it's a hallmark certainly of the Mass Effect franchise and something we'd never stray away from," Flynn stated, hinting at what the highly-anticipated installment has for gamers.

Flynn revealed the team always pictured the game with "a whole new set of characters and a new adventure" and broached his excitement on "all the great stories we were going to be able to tell because of that and what their journey is going to be like."

"Mass Effect: Andromeda" will hit the PS4, Xbox One and the PC during the holidays next year.
