Miley Cyrus shuts down pregnancy rumors

American singer and pop star, Miley Cyrus, just celebrated her birthday recently, and posted some photos of herself celebrating the joyous occasion. However, one picture in particular caught the attention of fans, and sparked the rumor that Cyrus could be pregnant because of what appeared to be a "baby bump." Cyrus was quick to respond, denying all of the speculations and rumors about the issue.

In a report by People, Cyrus took to her Twitter account as soon as she got wind of her fans making pregnancy speculations. She called out the rumors to be "rude," and explained that she simply had a lot to eat because of the birthday bash. Particularly, Cyrus stated that she has been chowing down on "tofurkey" — a vegetarian replacement for turkey.

This is understandable, since Cyrus' birthday just so happens to be on the same day as Thanksgiving, and her tweets effectively shut down any and all fans' speculations. According to Buzz Feed, Cyrus took the pregnancy allegations well, and did not take the defensive stance in confronting the issue.

According to Entertainment Tonight, some of the fans had been falsely spurred by the rumors, excitedly anticipating that Cyrus would have her first child with her long-time boyfriend, Liam Hemsworth. Not all of the fans had been thinking that Cyrus was pregnant. In fact, some of them even showed her their support by reaffirming that it is her birthday, and she can eat as much as she wants.

Despite the shade thrown at her by some of her fans, the pregnancy issue did not affect much of Cyrus' birthday celebration, as she posted more photos of the gifts she received on Instagram. Most notably, Cyrus got a beautiful bouquet of flowers and a necklace with her pet name — both of which came from Hemsworth.
