There is only one day to go before Microsoft unveils a slew of new devices in its Oct. 6 event and fans and observers are still in the dark about what the Redmond-based giant will announce. So speculations keep on being bandied about on the web.

According to an earlier report from industry observer Windows Central, although Microsoft still has to confirm what lineups and announcements the company has in store for its legions of fans, a quick look at the invites that the company sent to participants may provide a sneak peek at the upcoming event. The event invites sent to the press has a source code that, when checked, show lines featuring the words "Windows 10 devices, Windows devices, Microsoft Band, Microsoft Surface, Lumia, Live stream, Windows announcement, Windows Phone."

The source code lines, although not a direct confirmation, seem to indicate what Microsoft is planning to unveil come Oct. 6.

There have been rumors that Microsoft will launch new products showcasing its newly released Windows 10 platform. Aside from the much-awaited iteration to the company's hybrid tablet lineup, the Surface Pro 4, it is also rumored that there will be at least three new Lumias, the premium Lumia 950 and 950 XL, and the mid-range Lumia 550. All these handsets will reportedly run on the new Windows 10 Mobile right out of their boxes, and so will the new fitness wearable Microsoft Band 2.

Already a standard in giant tech even launches, it is also noted that those around the world who want to participate in the Microsoft Oct. 6 event may do so by watching the event live. There are third-party observers, like The Verge, that will cover the event live and send out periodic updates. Meanwhile, Microsoft will also provide its own livestream of the event, which will start on Oct. 6 at 10 a.m. ET.
