'Mass Effect: Andromeda' news: Bioware has no 'major announcements'

N7 Day Official Bioware Blog

N7 day is almost upon every "Mass Effect" enthusiast and as expected, Bioware has prepared loads of surprises for fans of the franchise come Nov. 7. However, those looking forward to get a foretaste of the latest iteration of the game "Mass Effect: Andromeda" can drop the anticipation this early.

Bioware doesn't have anything to show with regards to the game and the developer made sure to put that out there. "While we won't have any major announcements for Mass Effect: Andromeda this N7 Day, keep an eye out on Saturday for some surprises that we're sure you'll enjoy" it wrote in a blog post.

The game studio, however, promised that the Saturday to come will be a blast. "We're celebrating the Mass Effect Trilogy with a marathon Extra Life livestream, giveaways, and awesome deals on Mass Effect merch," Bioware wrote on the same blog post. The Extra Life marathon stream doubles as a charity event.

The developer encourages fans to change their profile pictures and cover photos of their social media accounts to get into the N7 spirit. Bioware also invites fans to share what N7 means to them and how important it is to their lives by tweeting, posting and Instagramming about it using #N7Day.

As for the real score of "Mass Effect: Andromeda," sadly not much has been said. Apart from the game reveal during the E3 2015, which happened almost six months ago, and morsels of details dropped by developers and people connected to the game's development via Twitter, there is no other concrete info about the title.

Quite a ton of info has been leaked prior to the reveal of the game though. This includes the now confirmed report that Commander Shepard will no longer take the lead in the title as well as a new and much bigger setting, uncharted regions of the galaxy and new breeds of aliens both good and bad coming to the game.

"Mass Effect: Andromeda" is expected to be released some time next year.
