The ABC television series "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." will be returning after its brief holiday hiatus, with episode 6 of season 5. It appears that the plot will be escalating rather quickly, with Daisy Johnson, played by Chloe Bennet, being placed in a very tricky situation following the 74-year slumber of Fitz, played by Iain DeCaestecker.

In the trailer video released recently for episode 6, Fitz is shown to psyche himself to play the role of a convincing  Boshtok the Marauder, a bidder who plans to buy Daisy in order to save her. Daisy has come to be known as Quake, the Destroyer of Worlds, after the events of the previous episodes. Fitz is obviously under a lot of pressure and stress in the trailer. Enoch, played by Joel Stoffer, assists Fitz in the best way he can, as his brutally honest and calculating self.

The trailer ends with Fitz seeing his love interest, Jemma Simmons, played by Elizabeth Henstridge, to his surprise, and attempts to ask Enoch about what happened to her. However, Enoch fails to address his concerns, reminding Fitz that it is Marauder custom to introduce themselves before approaching strangers. At least Enoch is showing to be fully invested in the bit.

A bigger issue is at hand in episode 6, however, wherein Fitz requests that Daisy is to participate in a death match in order for her to attain her freedom. Daisy will be pitted against Sinara, played by Florence Faivre, which is shaping up to be an exciting face-off between the two characters.

The episode is Clark Gregg's directorial debut, which is exciting for fans especially since they have gotten accustomed to his role as Phil Caulson. Gregg stated that he wanted to make sure right off the bat that he would be able to properly move the series in a good direction.

"Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." season 5 episode 6 premieres Friday, Jan. 5, at 9 p.m. EST on ABC.
