New reports indicate that users will catch a completely different LG device in the LG G5 as it will undergo an extensive revamp when it launches.

A reliable tipster, Shai Mizrachi, has shared an image showing some of the features and specs of the LG G5, and the photo confirms many radical rumours on the handset's design. From the images that appear to be a blueprint of the LG G5, it is seen that the volume buttons on the side of the device have disappeared from the device, leaving LG followers to wonder if the buttons will now be made virtual and added to the screen instead.

The tip also measures the upcoming G5 with dimensions of 149.4mm x 73.9mm x 8.2mm, and when compared with the LG G4's dimensions of 148.9 x 76.1 x 6.3/9.8mm, users can tell right away that the smartphone will also be different shape-wise.

Other early reports have indicated that the LG G5 will sport a unibody metallic enclosure- making it the first in the LG G-series to be made of metal material- and a 5.6-inch display with QHD resolution. The handset is also said to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC, which is one of the most powerful chipsets in the market today.

It is also believed that the LG G5 will launch with a fingerprint sensor and come out of the box with an Android 6.0 Marshmallow firmware installed, as a leak by Hungarian website NapiDroid showing the LG G5's profile also indicates the mobile operating system the handset will launch with. The leak places the gadget's serial number to be LG-H830.

The LG G5 is being anticipated to make an appearance in the Mobile World Congress this upcoming Feb. 22 to 24, 2016 in Barcelona, Spain, or even in LG's pre-MWC event in Feb. 21, 2016 in the same location.
